Back again, and in broad daylight this time, with people all around. (See previous photo - I assume its the same bird).
Whilst having lunch in the courtyard at St Vincent's Public Hospital today, I spotted this heron in the fishpond, bold as brass, showing little concern about the people standing a few metres away. There is a steel grating in the pond, providing the fish some protection. After a brief stint in the pond, it flew up into a nearby tree.
